Our doctors on patrol in PNG
Word spreads quickly when an ADI doctor travels to see patients in remote villages in Western Province. Young and old flock to the free ADI health clinics, seeking relief for their ills. This photo gallery highlights all the doctors who have volunteered their skills, compassion and sense of adventure to ADI and the people of Western Province since 2002. |

Malaria Bed Net Program in Western Province
Since 2003 Australian Doctors International has distributed nearly 55,000 insecticide impregnated bed nets to Western Province to help eradicate malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases. The bed nets have primarily benefited villagers across North Fly District, as well as villagers in parts of Middle Fly District and, most recently, in the Bensbach River region of South Fly District. |

Home for a while: the ADI volunteer house
ADI’s volunteer house is comfortable, safe, and centrally located at the Montfort Catholic Mission, which is home to about 30 people and is regularly patrolled. The house is close to the other volunteers' houses, and within walking distance to the Mission Health Clinic and Catholic Health Office. |
