ADI relies on building enduring and productive partnerships with Australian corporations and none is stronger that that with BD (Becton Dickenson). The medical technology company has invested heavily since 2012 in training of pathology workers in New Ireland PNG beside generously donating equipment. This has allowed local health staff there to better care for their patients particularly those with serious diseases such as TB and Malaria.
Today President of ADI, Dr Peter Macdonald, and volunteer doctor, Dr Penny Uther, were invited to address the BD Convention at Darling Harbour and close to 400 people learned about the work of ADI as well as the crucial support provided by BD.
As a gesture of on-going support, BD presented ADI with a cheque for $5000 for which we are most grateful; ADI looks forward to working closely with BD over the years ahead
